Social Security Disability

Social Security DisabilityWhenever a person is unable to earn income from work because of a medical condition or injury, they may qualify to receive Social Security Disability benefits or Supplemental Security Income benefits. Unfortunately, the Social Security Administration often denies claims improperly. At Silver & Archibald we have years of experience in getting those denials reversed, and getting the disabled the benefits they so badly need.

To be eligible for disability benefits, you must be unable to do any kind of substantial gainful work because of physical or mental impairment(s).  Your impairment or combination of impairments must significantly interfere with basic work-related activities for your condition to be considered disabling.  Your condition must also have lasted or be expected to last for a period of at least 12 months; or be expected to result in death.

While the decision of whether you are eligible for benefits is an administrative process, most of the appeals will wind up being heard before an Administrative Law Judge. The attorneys at Silver & Archibald have vast experience appearing before those judges as advocates for the disabled.  We can help you file a successful application or successfully appeal a denial.  We also do not collect any fee for our services unless we are successful representing you on the claim.
