Georgia Benefits Attorney for Hard-Working People

From the beginning of his career, Georgia disability attorney Michael Keene set out to be helpful to people truly in need.

When someone’s life and livelihood are derailed by health problems, he works tirelessly to get financial relief for them. He has two decades of experience with disability benefits claims, including a strong focus on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, as well as Veterans’ Disability and long-term disability insurance.

Michael’s approach comes in part from his own household growing up; his mother worked at a homeless shelter during his childhood and later worked for a job-training program for at-risk teens.

“Seeing my mother’s work fostered my desire to advocate for those in need,” Michael says. “I believe we do that very well at Silver & Archibald.

Soon after finishing law school, he joined the Silver & Archibald disability lawyers as an associate attorney in 2005, having heard of the firm’s reputation for strong advocacy for those unable to work due to physical or mental health issues.

Michael became a partner at the law firm in 2017.

He says the firm’s values are clear both in its work every day on disability cases and in its involvement in the community.

Silver & Archibald has supported Habitat for Humanity, the Project Safe domestic violence shelter, the Athens Wellness Clinic, the Athens Justice Project, and many schools, agencies caring for the indigent, and medical providers for low-income people.

Michael himself spent several years on the executive board of the Athens Nurses Clinic (now called the Athens Wellness Clinic). He led in creating the “Tomatoes at Terrapin” event, which has taken place for more than 15 years and is the clinic’s big, annual fundraiser.

In college, he was the first person ever to receive his university’s “Intramural Athlete of the Year” award. He still plays basketball regularly at the Athens YMCA.

You can get the disability lawyer team at Silver & Archibald to provide a free evaluation of your disability case in Atlanta, Augusta, Macon, Savannah, Athens, Columbus, and anywhere in Georgia or throughout the South.
