ATHENS LAW FIRM ERASES $1.7M IN MEDICAL DEBT FOR ATHENS AREA FAMILIES

Athens, Ga – January 2021.  For over 30 years, the attorneys at Silver & Archibald have advocated for those unable to work due to injury or chronic health issues.  The firm specializes in securing Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, and Veterans Disability benefits for those in need.

On December 31st of 2020, the firm was happy to congratulate founding partner Arthur (“Art”) Archibald on his retirement after a career spent advocated for those who need assistant.  In honor of his retirement, the firm made a $10,000 contribution to help eliminate medical debt for the indigent in our community.

RIP Medical Debt is a nonprofit organization, founded by two former executives in the collections industry, that allows donors to erase the debt of Americans whose lives have been destroyed by unjust medical debt; a contribution to RIP of $1 generally erases at least $100 of debt.  In this instance, we are proud to report that the $10,000 donation by Silver & Archibald will erase the medical debt of almost 1300 individuals in the Athens area, for a total of $1.7M of debt.

The firm wants to congratulate Mr. Archibald on his retirement, and to also to bring attention to this very worthwhile charity endeavor.  For more information on RIP, just visit www.ripmedicaldebt.org.
